My Project

I'm currently working in a sixth grade ELA and Social Studies classroom in a Title I school in Waipahu, Hawai'i. In my classroom, some of the materials that are crucial to fostering a high quality and engaging learning environment are running down. Some of these materials include the classroom speakers and mailbox. My current speakers are blown out, and they are not as reliable as they used to be, which makes playing videos and showing student presentations more difficult than they used to be. My currently mailbox is broken and falling apart, which makes students' morning routines a little more confusing than they are used to.

With your help, ALL of these sixth grade students, especially those enrolled in our English Learner program, would be able to engage in a smoother and more engaging learning environment.

Their learning experiences would be enhanced through the use of a higher quality classroom speaker.

Additionally, they would have a much easier time transitioning into the classroom and starting their school day if they are able to utilize a new mailbox. These materials would directly support students in their everyday lives when they are at school.
