I teach an amazing group of 1st-graders, at a high poverty, inner city public school in Indiana.
The majority of my first graders are on the free or reduced breakfast and lunch program.
I have students who are from single income families or being raised by grandparents. They are very diverse in their backgrounds and represent many cultures. They are eager to engage in learning. They have such inquisitive minds. My students know how high my expectations are for each one of them!
My Project
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to use games to develop social skills. Students social emotional learning will be impacted by playing games with peers. They will also have creative outlet using puppets for play. The puppets provide students with tools for creative play and socialization. The students are able to use the activites for building relationships with their peers. The games willl provide students with opportunity for playing with peers. They will be able to grow and develop through socializing and creative play!
