I will be new to teaching a 3rd-grade class on a K-6 campus. My love of learning is matched only by my desire to see my class with endless possibilities. I typically have 24-26 students. Some of the students have IEPs and some are English Language Learners. My students try their best and want to achieve. My main goal is to give them the confidence to at least try first. I want students to have access to basic classroom materials at school and home. It will help students to have the same quality of materials at home as at home.
As a financially struggling elementary school, sometimes the things we need can be passed over, but they are the tools we need to become more successful.
Mrs. Wordsmith is a new way of looking at vocabulary with engaging images to help students boosting literacy.
Giving children the tools to express themselves more richly, and meet the increasing demands of the classroom.
Accelerating reading and writing age. When children learn new words in the context that helps them to understand and retain them more efficiently and effectively.
It will help them develop word consciousness. A vital skill for helping children notice and become curious about new words so that they use them at school and at home.
Allowing children to bring words to life is not an easy skill.
Research shows that children learn easier and faster when information is presented visually.
