My students are one of a kind! I teach second grade at a Title I school in a high-need community. Despite the financial obstacles that most face, my students come to school excited to learn.
This school and students stole my heart from the beginning and I just want the opportunity to give them what they deserve.
These children deserve to have the same educational opportunity as others. I am always looking for ways to further my education so that I can be a better teacher to them. I also look for ways to bring innovative ideas and materials into our classroom to keep them excited and interested in learning. After all, these children are our future and if they keep a love for education, they will never stop learning.
My Project
The Engage, Empower and Achieve (Strategies for Managing the Classroom) Conference will be a wonderful learning opportunity that will not only help my students and I, but it will also help my teaching team. I will use the knowledge I gain at this conference to enhance my teaching and help other teachers in my area as well.
At this conference, I will learn some of the best teaching techniques that will allow my students to have the educational opportunity that they deserve.
This project will help cover the cost of the registration and will help me cover a portion of the lodging that I will need in order to attend this conference.
I am so excited to be able to learn how to facilitate a student led and collaborative learning space. This conference will give me fresh ideas, new strategies and materials that I will need to create this type of learning environment for my students. This conference will allow me to build my classroom management to promote positive student behavior and independence.
