My Students

My Language Arts and Social Studies classroom is an environment of researching, creating, evaluating, and analyzing. My classroom is made up of students with a wide variety of ability levels, which is why differentiation is vital in my classroom. Every student should have the opportunity to learn at their ability level and to be challenged.

My students take pride in their efforts and, like most students in the 21st century, are more engaged when using technology.

My classroom consists of all types of socioeconomic backgrounds. Many students do not have devices they can bring to school.

My Project

My students will have access to technology, such as Kindle Fires with cases, in my classroom to help them conduct research, read, and use with other educational applications. With some students having a device, this project will allow students who do not have their own to still have use of a device. My goal is to eventually have a class set so all students have access to all the same resources.

When students are working with technology, it allows them to be more engaged, challenged, and to take ownership of their learning.

Students in my classroom will use Kindle Fires to read books electronically, conduct research in Language Arts and Social Studies, and use programs like Moby Max to help reinforce their learning.
