My Students

I teach special education to middle school students in NYC. I am a self-contained teacher, meaning the students are with me for multiple subjects most of the day.

My amazing students all have academic challenges that we are meeting head-on in our small class setting.

The students are resilient and amazing. They have been facing challenges academically for their entire school careers. By the time they reach me in middle school, they have grit! They know how to persevere even when the task is difficult.

My Project

It is so exciting to be back in class and learn together as a group after a long time of remote learning. My students are excited and happy and invested in learning. However, after learning from home there are times when we need to reinforce skills from prior grades before moving forward.

Teachers Pay Teachers has so many amazing resources created by teachers that are exactly what we need in class!

My students are all special needs students working on grade-level curriculum. So much of our work needs to be modified for my students to be able to complete, this year more so than ever.

Finding or creating the perfect resource that allows my students to accomplish grade-level work is difficult, but when I look at teachers pay teachers I always find the perfect engaging activity to meet the needs of my students.
