My Students
All students deserve the best! These students are from a low-income area in the Las Vegas Valley. As such, we have a higher level of transiency, moving from place to place, than other areas. The classroom provides a safe place for them to explore and learn. Despite that all, these students are caring, funny, and can be an overall amazing group of children. And as such, they deserve the tools that will help them develop the skills necessary to be successful.
My Project
My students will be using these materials to help them learn skills in math and reading during centers/rotations. The math cards for multiplication and division will help students to build fluency in math facts. The place value cards will be used to practice skills in a variety of games. The game set is a great way to have the students practice mastering skills while at the same time being fun and engaging. The literacy set will help the students to increase their reading fluency which will ultimately assist them in their reading comprehension. All of these activities will support my students while providing them practice in a different outlet that will keep them stimulated.
