Help me give my students the newest generation iPad plus digital pencils for my students to complete classroom projects, collaborate, and engage in learning.
I teach at a comprehensive vocational school that serves four different schools from the area. My students are in grades 9th through 12th have and the opportunity to focus in one of fourteen Career and Technical Education (CTE) areas offered at my school along with their academics.
My students are creative, passionate, and eager to use the skills they learn in high school in the real world.
The students at my school receive the skills they need in the workforce and my art class helps them use their creative skills. I am able to transform my classroom and teach art and math in the same room to my students.
My Project
The use of technology in a classroom enhances the learning and engages students. Having an iPad will allow me to teach educational programs available through applications on the iPad.
My students will be more engaged when given technology to ignite their creativity.
The products I selected will be utilized in my art and math classes. I currently have an outdated iPad in my classroom which will not work. The classroom's tablet is in need of an upgrade. I plan to use applications on the iPad for my Geometry class to see things more visually. In art class, I would like to see my students learn how to create digital art.
Most young people are motivated by the use of technology, I feel incorporating applications on the iPad will make this successful in my classroom. My students benefit from having multiple learning resources and iPad technology will provide us with a plethora of educational resources to incorporate in my art and math classroom.
