My class is full of amazing students ready to learn! Our main focus this year is helping these students get caught up to grade level from missed time due to COVID. We are doing things by having meaningful, hands-on lessons that they can relate to and get excited about learning.
My students are excited to learn and become independent readers and mathematicians.
The biggest challenge is finding resources to help enforce major learning concepts in independent and center driven settings. These students need the extra practice in order to reinforce the concepts missed during the pandemic.
My Project
My classroom is full of students ready to learn and get caught up from all of the time out of the classroom due to COVID-19. These students are lower than any students I have taught before and are missing essential skills from previous grades needed to succeed in 6th grade. These skills are ones they will need the rest of their lives.
My students will get to learn and review in fun and interactive ways through reading comprehension kits and various reading comprehension resources, games, and activities, math folder games, and vocabulary practice.
These resources will be used in whole group, small group, and independent learning settings.
