My school is located in a small community in the heart of Louisiana that is very closely knit. The strong sense of community easily translates to the classroom. My students show their strong community values every day. They are kind, compassionate, and social. The are also very hard workers and always willing to help a classmate, or teacher for that matter, that is in need.
Having such kind-hearted students in my class makes me want to be the best teacher and person that I can be.
My Project
My students are very playful! The materials requested will be a wonderful supplement for my teaching. I will have the tools to create educational games related directly to content. These games and activities will boost student engagement.
Engagement is the key to ensuring that students achieve at the highest level.
By creating meaningful educational experiences where students can apply what they've learned, my students will be more tuned into the the material. These resources will allow me to create the activities to take my student to that next level.
The black light and glow in the dark pieces will allow my students' summaries to pop off of the page. The timers, dice, jenga, pieces and buzzers, will allow my vocabulary and content games to come to life.
