My students need another activity table for the centers we run twice a day/ free choice seating throughout the day. The dry erase feature will help engage students in writing! The bins are for letter organization.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our kindergarten students are enthusiastic learners who come from diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
These young students are highly capable and interested in learning, help keep them engaged with literature center items!
Demographically just over one-third of our students socio-economically disadvantaged. We are a modern rural one-school district surrounded by agricultural land filled with lemon trees. Our families work on these farms and live in the surrounding areas. Our school has a long-standing history and just celebrated our 75th anniversary. When the doors first opened there were just three classrooms with 68 students. Now we have over 625 students in grades kindergarten through eight. We provide rigorous academics, intensive support, and cultural experiences in the visual and performing arts for all. We teach students to create, connect, and collaborate for life!
My Project
This project will help engage students during our literature time! Every morning my class has 4 literature centers. I am short of one large table and have three smaller tables taking up a lot of room to form a last center space.
With this table, students can practice writing out words, shapes, numbers, letters, sentences, math equations and so much more!
My literature center usually reads a leveled book. Before reading, we review the sight words or CVC words the students will encounter. Writing them on the table before we begin reading is just one example of the daily use the whiteboard table would receive! (It will also help during PM math centers and free choice seating throughout the day).
The bins will help to organize the alphabet realia, picture cards, flashcards, and other items we have for each letter of the week.
