Every child has a desire to be creative. Creativity is inherently fun, and the two together spark in children a desire to learn.
When students desire to learn, they have the power to change the world.
Our students have the desire; they have creativity. All they need is the tools to make learning come alive.
Our juniors and seniors are dedicated students who want to shape and wield the world in their hands. They have so much promise; however, they lack the opportunity. Our school resides in a low socio-economic area, so resources are limited. They yearn for greatness, and only need our support to make their dreams come true.

These words by Benjamin Franklin exemplify what our digital media students need--equipment necessary to engage them in the learning process. This DonorsChoose project is for two digital cameras that students can check-out through the digital media program so that they can take pictures and videos of school events, which they will use in-class projects. The cameras are bundled with cases, SD memory cards, and other extras. Included in this project also is a microphone that attaches to several different types of cameras so that students may capture the sounds of the event. Another in-class voice-over computer microphone is part of the package. All of these items will enrich their learning experience and engage them in learning so that they retain and build on their knowledge of digital media concepts. They will develop audio-visual computer graphics skills, giving them the capabilities necessary for gainful careers and employment in a variety of sectors.
