My Students

I am the Curriculum Coach of a Title I school and I am continuously looking for ways to grow all of our K-5 students. Most of our students come from low to medium economic households. Our makeup includes: 77% Caucasian, 13% Hispanic, and 10% African American. For the majority, most students have the desire to learn, they just need to be motivated. They also need adequate instruction from teachers. Since we are Title I (40% or more students receive free or reduced lunch), we don't always have the funds to send teachers or myself to productive professional development. With this professional development, I could bring back Ron Clark's ideas to motivate students and I could share Anita Archer's strategies to bring vocabulary alive in the classrooms.

I am a planner - I want to help my teachers with their teaching and students' learning!!

This is possible only with the right people/organization providing direction. Again, I am always looking for opportunities to grow myself, my teachers and our students!!! Educators have an opportunity to make a difference each and every day!

My Project

If I am engaged, equipped and empowered by iLeadr's team and guest speakers, I can share the knowledge gained from this professional development with my school and district which would have a positive impact on thousands of students in my county. Students could be empowered to take ownership of their learning.

Knowldege is powerful....we/teachers need to find ways to Engage, Equip, and Empower our students so they will become LIFELONG learners!

Anita Archer, guest speaker, will share how to explicitly teach Vocabulary and Ron Clark, guest speaker, will share ways to Motivate and Engage teachers and students! Both of these are areas in which we can use to grow our students. There will also be other fabulous guest speakers!
