Ms. Exume from Atlanta GA is requesting art supplies through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students construction paper, poster board, and art supplies to engage their creativity in the classroom.

My students are amazing, marvelous and challenging on many levels. They come to school excited, eager to experience an exciting lesson. I often refer to them jokingly as “challenging customers” that refuse to accept second best. As I try my best to provide an excellent customer service to my clientele, I find that it is never enough to just teach.
It is a journey to discover how best to serve every single one of my students and get them ready for college and for life, and I am enjoying the ride.
Our school is a Title I school in Atlanta where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of our students are facing many socioeconomic challenges that hinder their academic success. As I observe them interact with one another, enthused in a lesson, I regain my conviction that a future is possible and achievable for all my students.
Learning should be engaging and interesting! My middle schoolers love learning when they can see, feel, touch, and experience the world around them.
My students are passionate about their artistic creations and incorporate creativity to engage and better comprehend the material.
They have a thirst for knowledge and having these supplies would completely shift how my students interact and learn the material.
Being able to provide these art supplies, poster board and construction paper will really encourage my students to stay involved in their learning. They can become academically successful and engaged if they have an outlet like the arts in which they can flourish. The markers, construction paper, colored pencils, and poster boards will be used to create projects related to our reading, writing, and Spanish curriculum.
