I teach special education at a small rural school. Throughout my day, I have the pleasure of seeing students at various grade levels K-5. Because I am sometimes a student's teacher throughout their entire elementary experience, I am able to form special relationships with them.
I teach my heart out every single day!
I try my best to bring magic and energy into my lessons. My students learn through hands on experiences in math, writing, and reading. When students walk into my classroom, they never know what to expect. We make learning fun and school becomes a place they WANT to be!
I believe that my students feed off my energy and excitement for the content I teach. I am always looking for ways to make my lessons more engaging and magical. The Get Your Teach On (GYTO) is a renowned organization that teaches rigor and engagement. By attending this conference, I will learn from some of best educators in the world. I will also be able to share what I learned with other teachers in my small rural school.
I dream of a classroom where the energy is electric and the students welcome a challenge with excitement!
This is my goal as an educator. I want my special education students to feel empowered! The Get Your Teach On National Conference will provide me with first hand experiences that will allow me to be the best teacher I can be!
