If we could use Duracell batteries to keep our students excited, we would. However, in our fifth grade classes, this is not necessary. We look forward to each day to see what our students will do next. They are eager to learn, passionate about making relationships work, and just plain fun! There is a lot of hard work that goes into making this work. We, as teachers, are constantly planning and jumping through hoops to make sure that each student is experience success in everything we do. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, we frontload students with science information that prepares them for our science labs. Thursdays and Fridays are wide-open as all 80 students gather together to create, hypothesize, collect data, and sometimes blow things up. We need more materials to help us continue our exciting labs. Please consider helping us promote creative thinking and problem solving in our fifth graders. Science lab kits and microscopes will energize our students. Our future depends on their present. Thank you for your help.
