My students need these 6 wobbly seats to help control their fidgety minds. So, the most energetic students can stay focused during class. keeps students comfortable and the design encourages proper posture while learning.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a proud teacher in a low-income/high poverty elementary school. The students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. The students are second language learners that do not have the same opportunities as fluent students, so struggle to with keeping up with their grade level. With the many challenges they face, I am constantly looking to create a different learning environment in our classroom that will give them security plus motivate them to want to learn.
My Project
In our 5th grade Language Arts class, some of my students struggle the most with listening and staying focused. I know first hand how nerve wracking it is to others when a student is constantly moving around and/ or playing with the tiniest item, instead of paying attention. Learning and having the confidence to speak when participating in whole group and in group work is very difficult when you are distracted by objects and daydreaming. I have ADHD so I understand what it's truly like to distract and to be distracted.
I'm requesting 6 wobbly stools, so that I can get the attention of students that are lost in their own distraction.
Students aren't bored with learning. They really can't help it when they have concentration & distraction difficulties and have to sit still for so long. I will set up a wobbly station so students can concentrate enough to learn for success and the benefits of knowing what they need to succeed.
