Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are energetic, positive, and eager to be successful in the classroom. They love actively learning and I am constantly creating group challenges for them because their teamwork is phenomenal. Half of my students are from a school that closed last year. It is amazing how they have maintained such high spirits and have made great friendships in this first month of school. I'm so proud of them!
My students are deserving of materials and seating that will help them focus, and be their best self in the classroom.
These kids are full of energy and I am looking for ways to harness their enthusiasm to create a positive learning experience for them. Having these materials would be the first steps to providing them with the learning experience they deserve.
My Project
Kids learn best when they feel comfortable and relaxed in the environment they are in and I believe adding these items would make their year in 5th grade very memorable.
Balance discs and fidget toys are perfect because they can be used by ALL students and the positive effects are immediate.
Having these requested materials in class will allow my students to concentrate on their classwork and during testing time.
Many of my students have a fixed mindset about learning and they become anxious when trying something challenging. I have noticed many playing with rolled up paper during testing and it motivated me to do something more for them. I want them to be able to focus and realize that they CAN do whatever they set their mind to. That's why I created this project.
