My students need the laptop to positively impact their academic achievement. They also need various sports balls that will allow them to prepare for the 5th grade PE test from the state.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My class is full of physical movement, dance, and art. Technology is utilized throughout the day. Students present their classwork to small and whole group through dynamic presentations. I want all of my students to perform at the proficient and advanced levels by the end of the school year.
My school is located in a low-income, high poverty area.
The school is a part of the Title 1 Program. Title 1 is a provision of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act passed in 1965 by the United States Department of Education. The school has several programs that reach out to the community to engage parents to become involved in their children's education. The hope is that this partnership will impact students' learning in a positive manner. The student population is mostly Latinos with Spanish being the first language. The parents usually work two jobs and have little time to participate in their children's education, but they are very passionate about their children's welfare and education. The students are really motivated and eager to learn. They are really poor and lack basic necessities to meet their basic needs. However, they are really bright scholars with the hope for a bright future. These materials will impact students' learning in a big way. They will succeed.
My Project
With the laptop, my students will create PowerPoint presentations in subject areas such as Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies. Specifically, as a Speaking, Listening, and Viewing lessons, students will present their Science Projects in the form of video presentations, PowerPoint presentations, animation, and short movie clips. All created with this laptop. Writing is also crucial for the students' continual success in school. As a result, they will use the laptop to write assignments of differing types. For example, they will write powerful sentences and creative stories. With the soccer and kick balls, the students will enhance their physical education. The goal is to prepare them to past their 5th grade physical education test, required of all 5th graders in this state. Consequently, the teachers must provide the students will structured physical education. Such activities include soccer and kick ball. The students will compete in a healthy manner in these activities.
The donations of the laptop and balls will improve my classroom immensely.
The laptop will provide much needed technology to improve and enhance the learning opportunities of all students in my classroom. Students can create projects utilizing the laptop. As well, the balls will improve students' physical educations. Currently, my students have no balls in my classroom. They constantly ask about playing soccer and kick ball. This donations will very beneficial to do. My kids are deserving.
