Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our 5th grade students all go to a Title I school that prides itself on making sure that all students know they can succeed. Even though the majority of the students are considered at-risk, we instill in them the belief that all students can accomplish their dreams with hard work and determination.
We also help them understand that obstacles are challenges they will conquer and overcome.
Our students are excited to learn, excited to understand, and excited to have fun!
My Project
Do you remember your last days of 5th grade? I would like my students to have great memories of their last days of 5th grade and elementary school.
I would like my students to remember these fun times so that they may take them on to middle school and beyond.
Some of our last day projects include a Field Trip to Natural Bridge Caverns and Field Day. These shirts would help us feel unified and indestructible as we conquer our 5th grade trophy!
Some students would also benefit by having an extra shirt to wear for everyday wear. I also see some of our old shirts on younger siblings as well.
