Help me give my students a creative opportunity to explore their inner ZOOLOGIST! With home supplied recyclables and plenty of paint, we can bring our endangered animals to life with this fun activity!
The students at our school have a lot to offer! They are kindhearted and intelligent little worker bees who love to keep our hive buzzing with activity!
Our classroom is a place of learning, discovery, creativity and the freedom to make mistakes.
We learn together, we grow together, and we succeed together because we know that..together we are better!
While we are great at hitting the books, we also love opportunities to get our hands dirty and let our creativity take the reins. It often guides us to the most unexpected places where even greater learning occurs.
My Project
The Endangered Animal Zoo is a culminating project that my students absolutely love to share with the entire school! After researching and collecting information on a selected endangered animal, each student will use recyclable materials to construct and paint the critter they have selected.
The endangered animals will be on full display as we invite the entire school to visit our "Endangered Animal Zoo" where the budding zoologists will entertain and educate guests with information about their chosen animal.
Guests will also enjoy animal themed activities, games, and snacks while perusing our gallery of student-created critters.
This creative, hands-on opportunity gives students the chance to go the extra mile beyond their research. They develop an even greater appreciation for their endangered animal as they spend weeks learning about it, then building/painting it, and finally, sharing the culmination of their learning with their peers.
