Help me give my students school supplies like scissors, glue, and crayons for them to be able to complete school work at home while we finish the year in distance learning.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach 2nd grade at a Title 1 school. Each of my students qualify for free lunch and breakfast because they live in low income homes. My students are all eager to learn and really have a love for it. Although they all learn in different ways, they always want to help each other within the classroom and outside the classroom. My students are what drive me every single day to not only be a better person, but a better teacher.
My Project
I was really saddened to hear that I would not get to see my students for the rest of the school year. I created this project to help me give them a goody bag full of materials to continue distance learning for the next few weeks as well as start their summer off with a bang!
The end of the school year should have been full of fun so I was trying to give my students a bit of that in each bag since their parents aren't able to do so.
I asked for tumblers because I wanted to make them each a personalized cup to use throughout the summer. I asked for sunglasses, chalk and bubbles so they can go outside and have fun with their families during the summer. Finally, I asked for the drawstring bags so I can personalize them and send the goodies home easily for the students.
