My Students

I teach 28 students in a multiple subject classroom - they are a microcosm of our world - bringing a richness of diversity of cultures, customs/traditions, and language. Acceptance & celebration of differences makes us a stronger community. Currently, my students learn daily on Zoom, join me in the afternoons for tutoring, & participate in online digital escape rooms twice a month on Friday nights.

My Project

In-and-of-itself Distance Learning is difficult for many students, but when other children in the household are engaged in their own classes on different computers, and parents or older siblings working from home during the pandemic, all within earshot of my students - focus is extremely difficult and distractions plentiful. Having a good set of over-the-head, covering the ear headphones with a microphone can help alleviate the cacophony of noises throughout the household and allow students to focus and be able to fully engage in our online Zoom classes. Students need more than just a cheap set of earbuds.
