My students need a bench for our recess area for students to recognize others who are in need of a friend.

My Students

This school has an amazing group of 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. They are outgoing, caring, and fun group of students that are doing amazing things here. These students work hard everyday to grow as learners but also as individuals. They are learning to build friendships that can last a lifetime.

A sweet friendship refreshes the soul.

This is something our students are learning as they interact with one another day to day. Our students are forming bonds with each other that can last through their high school days and beyond. They cherish and value one another.

My Project

Kids don't alway leave someone out intentionally but may not know that the person has no one to play with. Friendships are crucial at a young age and sometime students need encouragement to form those friendships. A Buddy Bench is the perfect way to do so.

The Buddy Bench will encourage students to make sure every student is included at recess with someone to play and interact with.

Shy or quiet students will feel more comfortable forming friendships by simply sitting at the bench showing others they want someone to play with or talk to. For some, this can be the first step toward a lasting friendship that everyone deserves.
