My students need headphones for encouraging technology learning in centers and a new rug for updates in the classroom. The rug will also be used as a teaching tool and flexible seating.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As teachers, how can we close the achievement gap when students do not have the necessary materials in school and at home to succeed? I accepted my new role at Veazie and I have reviewed the school-wide data and areas of indication that our students in kindergarten need help and more resources to help them succeed. There are students in my classroom with learning and emotional disabilities. Many come from single parents doing the best to raise them and help provide the best education possible for them.
I am looking for ways to make my classroom feel like home, yet update resources that students are able to appreciate and value in the real world.
My students all receive a free breakfast and free lunch due to the economy and location of the school. I am looking to make their learning fun and enjoyable and give them opportunities they would normally not have.
