Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with a group of very diverse 5th graders who hold a wide range of academic abilities. They often times need additional support to access and understand grade level materials, skills and concepts. I will be able to match the skills from the week in class, to the corresponding pages within these workbooks for students to gain more independent practice time to strengthen their ability to respond to various texts and ELA topic questions.

By donating to this project, you will help provide students with independent materials that can aid in their understanding of grade level skills within literacy and writing.

These books will provide an appropriate amount of support and scaffolding to allow my students to practice skills that can otherwise be difficult for them when working with regular, curriculum materials. In addition, by providing each student with his or her own book will create a sense of ownership, and what student does not love receiving a fresh workbook to call their own that looks as inviting as these do?
