Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
A visitor to my Pre-K classroom would immediately be greeted by 20 very friendly 4 and 5 year olds! I would love for all of these sweet children to be completely ready for Kindergarten next year.
My students are some of the sweetest, smartest kids I have ever met.
They are so energetic and full of curiosity. They love learning new things and they especially like technology. Our school is in a high poverty neighborhood so our students do not always get all the resources needed to learn and grow. These children would love to have more hands-on experiences with technology. My students deserve to have every opportunity available to them to help in their education.
My Project
My students love anything they can hold and manipulate. They see any kind of technology as a fun toy. I see it as an excellent way to get them learning while playing! I will use these 2 Samsung tablets with cases in my small group lessons and also in centers. My students will be able work with letter sounds, numbers, counting and many other Pre-K skills. They will also be learning how to be responsible with classroom materials.
I am also asking for 2 bean bag chairs for our classroom library. My students love books and they like to be in the classroom library at center time. These bean bag chairs will help make our library a little more comfortable for their reading times.
Your donation will greatly improve my classroom by allowing my young students to take the next step in their education.
My students will be able to access resources that they may not be able to access at home. These tablets will help them to be able to learn and grow. My class will also benefit from the bean bag chairs in our library. It will make our library more appealing and comfortable for reading.
