I would like to focus on sensory needs and encourage communication through engaging activities.
Through games my students can work on their Core Vocabulary i.e., request their turn, I want, more, finished.
They use communication devices and require speech therapy. Students will not only learn communication skills through the board and card games they also will learn turn-taking and mindfulness.
My class works on independent work tasks. With materials, I will be able to make these and follow the TEACCH work system. We will use the bins to store their work that needs to be completed independently. Paints so they can paint use sorting games, and follow a design with the Design and Drill game. I also will be able to buy tasks using the TPT gift card.
