My Students

My French students are very passionate about learning French. They help one another learn by voluntarily assisting in lower level high school classes as well as in the middle/intermediate schools in our district. During summer school, they volunteer to assist me when teaching French for elementary students.

Some of my students choose to participate in the state Concours Oral, a French forensics competition, some host French students who come join us for three weeks, and some travel with us in the summer when we do trips abroad.

We have a very active French club as well thanks to the enthusiasm these students have for this beautiful language.

My Project

My students are passioned about learning the beautiful French language. Reading is one of the best ways to learn language. We are building a classroom library for Free French Read time.

Students have told me that they want more chapter books in French written for the novice/intermediate level.

This donation will give students more choices for this type of book. When each student can choose a book that they truly want to read, the free reading time is an exceptional learning experience.

Offering more choice leads to more engagement.
