My Students

My school is in an urban district in California with most of our students qualifying for free and reduced lunches. That means that they do not have the money to purchase food let alone art supplies so we really need the help.

My students are diverse in ethnicity and ability and are great kids who love learning something new.

These tools will allow them to work in a new art medium and create art work that they can design and keep.

My Project

Students will learn about Russian enamels and the history of Fabrege eggs and the Russian revolution. With that information they will use it to create their own work of art.

Students will create an enameled pendant or key chain based on their original design.

They will design their work out of nickel silver and use enamels and a kiln to create their masterpieces. This is something that students have never done before and they will be learning a new skill with a beautiful end result. My students are excited to try something new and design a lovely piece for them to keep.
