My Students

This group of students is special! They are resilient, hard-working, and compassionate. When Covid his these kids were in first grade. They have spent every critical year of their learning with restrictions and hard situations. However, they continue to amaze me with their positivity and grit!

My Project

One of the hardest parts of teaching during a pandemic is making sure my room is always clean! We clean touchpoints several times throughout the day which is costly. I have purchased several cleaning supplies and sanitizer to make sure our room is always clean. This project will help provide many of the resources we will need to finish out the year.

Another thing that is important to me is for my students to feel safe emotionally.

I have several students who are suffering from anxiety and are often very anxious. The books in this project will help me to teach coping skills. I also got prizes for a big end-of-year testing carnival to help make reviewing fun and not overwhelming.
