My students need materials for centers and mathematics. Items like the Magnetic Alphabet Maze will keep them engaged and focused during centers. The CVC Word Work Center will also benefit my students who need hands-on learning.
My classroom is full of adorable, full-day kindergarteners who are experiencing formal schooling for the first time. They are so bright-eyed and excited to learn! (As a first-year teacher, in a farming community, I am equally excited!) They love to sing, dance, draw, color, read, and develop new friendships. Kindergarten is such an exciting time!
This is my first year in public education and I hope to provide them with the best education possible.
I want to ensure that they have a good foundation to support the rest of their schooling years.
My Project
I was hired the day before school started and I walked into a nearly-empty kindergarten classroom. School has since started and my students desperately need educational games for center work and math manipulatives. My students are continually asking me "Where are your blocks?" "Where are your puzzles?"
The Plastic Pattern Blocks are just one of the many resources that will be used during math, centers, and free-time/indoor recess while keeping my students engaged and learning.
The same goes for the Ten Frames Set and the Sequencing Numbers Puzzles.
All of these materials will help my children learn by engaging them in meaningful, hands-on activities. After all, what is a kindergarten classroom without blocks or puzzles?
