Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an eager group of first graders who are always ready for a challenge. They are a diverse group of learners that includes students with special needs, gifted students, and second language learners.

I would love to have the materials I need to challenge them, prepare them, and enhance our curriculum.

They are highly engaged and motivated to learn, especially in new and challenging ways. My goal is not only to teach them the standards, but also to give them a love for learning.

My Project

Reading is an essential part of our day! These books will help my students develop basic language skills and spark imagination! They will stimulate curiosity, social, and communication skills. Students will read these books with adults, each other, and independently, to stretch and grow their brains as better readers. Reading a book can take students on fun and exciting adventures. In our class we say, "Practice makes progress!" In order to be fluent readers, we need to read more. These books will help us meet with groups and target instruction designed just for them. Thank you for your support in helping us become better readers!
