Regardless of academic ability, all students can be artists and show their talents in a new way. I want my students to have an opportunity to display creativity and artistic expression. Art is a medium for expression that is only possible with art supplies.
These amazing young people bring their cultural backgrounds into our class of learners to create a diverse classroom community.
I teach in a school where most students are from low-income families and receive free or reduced price meals. Supplies are provided by the school or the teacher (me) to make sure students have what they need to learn. We are a public school with with kindergarten through 5th grade students. My 28 third grade students all receive free breakfast and lunch.
My Project
Students who are able to express themselves are more confident and well-rounded individuals. I have students that are incredibly creative and need an outlet for their talent. This project will help bring out the creativity in each one of my students as well as giving us new and exciting artistic experiences.
My students need markers, crayons, colored pencils to create art projects to extend their learning. With these resources, I will be empowering students through art and providing creative and educational learning experiences.
This donation will benefit my classroom by providing the supplies needed so students can create art and extend their learning.
Many of my students thrive on being creative. They love to draw and color. By incorporating art I am motivating them to step out of their comfort zone in a particular subject and engaging them in learning.
