Hello and thank you for reading! My name is Anjali and I will be teaching in West Contra Costa School District. I will have approximately 30 third graders and I want to do everything I can do give them the absolute most in the year they are with me.
As a WCCUSD alum myself, I have a deeper understanding of the struggles and hurdles many of these kids have to face in order to keep up with their peers from more well off backgrounds and I want to dedicate myself to giving them the best I can.
It is my goal to enrich their learning experience and get them excited to learn. I hope to motivate them to become life long learners and support them with the tools they need to be successful!

My Project
Thank you for taking the time to read! Throughout the teaching day, there are opportunities for students to practice what they have learned and go off and practice it independently. This is a time where we as teachers have the option of giving our students the freedom to choose a "smart spot" to learn.
Smart spots are a way of getting students to be responsible for their own learning experience.
The wobbly seat cushions are a great way for students who work best at the desk but need a little extra to feel comfortable and focused on their work. The floor seats, although expensive, are the best way for students to be able to find a quiet corner to work, while still keeping a proper learning position posture. And lastly, the bean bags are great for students during independent reading time.
Please help me get my flexible learning project started! Hopefully I will be able to grow and expand it with time on my own! Thank you!
