My students come from all over the world with many different levels of knowledge. When they enter my math class, I know that there will be lots of struggles because of their countless different learning backgrounds.
Giving students organizational tools for their learning is invaluable.
Many of my students' families do not have the means to provide school supplies to their children preventing my students to have tools to organize what they learn and facilitate their learning each day in the classroom.
My Project
Classroom organization is integral for success in any classroom. In an effort to provide my students with the opportunity for the greatest success in my classroom, I am requesting 100 1.5 inch binders for my high school geometry students to help them organize their notes, homework, assessments, classwork, and other key resources. My students come from various backgrounds, many recently immigrated families. As such, many of my students are unable to purchase these supplies themselves, and by providing each of my students with a binder, I am able to give them the basic foundation to be successful in my classroom. The binder will allow me to teach my students to use it as a learning tool. It will help them develop organizational skills and manage the course work in my subject by concentrating their materials in a single location. Students will be able to access their materials throughout our studies to aid them while studying for a test or helping them review examples for homework.
