Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with our entire school receiving free lunch. Our school is also one of the most ethnically diverse schools in the area. Students speak a multitude of languages including English, Spanish, Hindi, Urdu, Mandarin, and Arabic. As diverse as our students are economically and culturally, they all have one thing in common; a love for learning.
My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them each day.
They know they have entered into a safe, loving, and fun place where magic happens daily!
My Project
If I could have 6 Chromebooks in my classroom of 22 students, my students could share Chromebooks. Students could be working independently on writing, projects, research, and skill building activities while I am working with a guided reading or math group.
Chromebooks help engage students with interactive lessons and prepare them for an increasingly digital workplace.
My students constantly have questions and Chromebooks would be a resource they could use to find the most current answers.
Computer literacy is an integral component of a student's education. By providing my students with access to the internet through Chromebooks, they will have access to resources and information and become part of the 21st century. They will be much more engaged, and the possibilities of what they will learn are endless.
