We are asking for your support for this 2017-2018 cheer competition season. Our high school cheer group is a non-profit organization that helps pay expenses for national competitive squad. Some of the expenses are gym fees, camp clothing, bonding dinners, tumbling mats, tumbling sessions, traveling fees, coach/staff fees, uniforms, and tuition, which can add up to more than $5,000 per year per cheerleader! Although we are affiliated with our high school and do cheer at games, they are not able to give us monetary assistance. The cheer program is run solely on parent donations and fundraising
Our cheerleaders put their heart and soul into this program by practicing their art for over 15 hours a week, attending additional tumbling classes to keep their skills up, all the while attending school and keeping their grades up.
This is no small task. We ask a lot of our cheerleaders and parents. They cheer at football and basketball games. They also make guest appearances upon request to any other sport at our school as well as local businesses. Cheer, competing and good grades are not all we require of our teams. Our teams also do community service.
My Project
Universal Cheerleaders Association Masters Camp will inspire leadership on and off the field for our athletes. All material and programs are instrumental in raising, leading and maintaining strong athletes, who set the morale and spirit for each student in their school as well as their community.
Our athletes will gain professional skills needed to compete on the national level that are invaluable for their own empowerment, leadership skills, and self-esteem.
Financial limitations should not stand in the way of a student gaining the skills and teaching needed to grow and accomplish their dreams. Sports enhance all students physically and social-emotionally.
