Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are thrilled to unveil a dynamic initiative led by our students, centered around promoting health and wellness initiatives within our community. This project not only aims to bolster academic success but also prioritizes the holistic well-being of our students through active community engagement.

Our students, as catalysts for positive change, are at the forefront of promoting health and wellness initiatives in our school community.

Our students are approaching testing season, a very stressful time of any young person's life.

This project focuses on stress relief and Mental Health. Our project integrates mindfulness sessions, stress-relief activities, and giving students items like squishmallows and stress balls to help students manage emotional or mental challenges while preparing for the ACT. Our students also are requesting pens, and sunglasses, these items will be given to students with positive messages attached to them, which will encourage students to do their best on the test, as well as a mediation message.

Our dedicated student leaders are taking the lead in promoting our students to make healthy choices, and learn ways to handle their stress. Collaborating with teachers, they plan activities centered around stress relief, distribute materials, and cultivate a positive atmosphere, showcasing our commitment to both academic excellence and community well-being.

We express our gratitude for considering our community-driven project. Your support, encompassing squishmallows, sunglasses, stress balls, and pens, will not only leave a lasting impact on our students but will also contribute to the collective well-being of our community, fostering a culture of health and support.
