Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

As a Special Educator, I have fifteen delightful students across grade levels who are eager to learn and can be highly motivated. Most of them live in urban areas and receive free or reduced lunches. The environment they live in builds their character and their development.

These students are intuitive and are continuously developing their physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and language skills.

They come into the classroom eager to see what the day has to bring them. With that, they set goals for themselves and have exceeded their expectations. They show persistence and inspire me to help them achieve success.

My Project

This project will give me students the opportunity to express themselves in multiple ways and embrace what makes them unique. We are a young school with with first- time school experience.

Learning to regulate your emotions is an essential part is the school experience.

We will use these tools to record our emotions daily, add to my colleagues toolbox and let children see themselves in literature. This will also give children an alternative way to communicate with their teachers and peers. We will use this tools whenever we believe it is necessary
