This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My fourth-grade students are generous, full of energy, and dreams. They are resilient to any obstacles that they encounter and they strive for their best academically and emotionally. Indeed, I am very proud of my students for not only being monolingual but striving to learn a new language and become bilingual. Every day I witness how my students develop their skills in all subjects as they master both languages, English and Spanish.

My Project

By funding my project, you will provide a medium for my students to express their emotions and feelings through the use of art. My evolving artists will have the opportunity to use acrylic paint to showcase their creativity. I will teach my fourth graders about perspective, abstract art, the difference between warm and cool colors, etc. It is highly important for my students to engage in the art world and understand that painting is a medium for artists to express their feelings in order to create change, educate people of a specific topic, or for entertainment.
