Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are a mix of ESL and other demographics. Some come from different economical situations and family dynamics. Although our students come from different backgrounds, they all look at each other the same and love unconditionally. They all have eager hearts for learning.

My Project

Emotions; we all have them and as we know even as adults, sometimes we struggle with them. For our 1st grade students it’s a lot for them to handle. Some are not even sure what they are feeling and for others they don’t know what to do with their emotions. These books will help students learn what it is they are feeling. For the really big emotions that students feel we will use the emotional regulation puzzles and tools to help them act out what they feel or cool down until they can talk about how they feel.
