My Students
Our class affirmation is "The future of the world is in our classroom,” which defines my amazing, curious and creative ESL students. Each day my students arrive at school with a "Never Give Up" attitude which makes each day a new adventure.
Their passion for learning has created an environment where different learning styles are not only accepted but appreciated.
Since I have a curious bunch, I have developed lessons that immerse them into different cultures and ways of life. These elements have allowed me to scaffold their knowledge, which in turn has been a pillar to helping them learn the English language.
My Project
The Cricut Maker will be an amazing addition to our classroom. The Cricut will allow students to expand their creativity with projects. Students could design their project and have it cut out on vinyl, fabric, and other materials. With the Cricut, students will have the opportunity to create posters in an organized way. It will allow the students to cut out letters and images to add to their projects.
With the diverse needs that encompass a classroom, the Cricut Maker will serve as another means of differentiated learning.
Along with all of the student benefits, the Cricut will also benefit the teacher. I will be able to create better visual representations to post in the classroom including motivational bulletin boards, all in a fraction of the time that it takes without the Cricut. As teachers, we try to maximize our time and the Cricut will certainly help!
