I teach Accounting I. We learn manual and automated accounting but the focus is on manual accounting. I am constantly explaining how forms are completed because we work with them everyday. To demonstrate how these forms are completed I use an overhead projector, transparencies, and vis-�-vis pens. The use of vis-�-vis pens to complete these forms is similar to completing a job application with a crayon. The blocks are small and the pen tips are huge in comparison, even the fine tip pens are barely legible. The purpose of this grant is to purchase an Elmo visual presenter. To be exact, it is the Elmo HV-110XG. This is a high resolution presenter that can be connected to a projector and have items displayed on the overhead screen. With this unit I would be able to place the journal currently in use on the scanning area and complete it using a pencil, with no more need for transparencies and vis-�-vis pens. The Elmo HV-110XG would enhance my ability to teach students how forms are completed and they would be able to see and read what is written.
