My Students

My second grade math intervention students are eager learners who miss being in the classroom. We have made tremendous gains this year but due to a lack of technology in their homes it has been hard to connect with and help them reach their goals.

Learning can still occur if we have the tools we need to continue.

I miss seeing my students, and I know they miss our class time together. These times have been tough on the kids that I serve, but we continue to do our best under the circumstances. Their eagerness to learn inspires me!

My Project

My students have made so much progress this school year. Through intervention classes barriers in low socioeconomic status and gaps in learning can be overcome. This past month has been so hard on my students- how can I reach them if they do not have technology at home to work with? My students need to be engaged in their learning more than ever.

Without daily instruction, the gap in where they are and where they need to be will only widen with each passing day.

Help me reach my students by providing them the tools they need to level the playing field. Every child should have the ability to continue learning especially in times like this. Providing Chromebooks for at-home student use will solve this problem so we can make the most of every school day.
