My Students
I am an elementary music teacher in the Green Bay area with about 500 students in grades K-5th grade. I get to spend 30 minutes, twice a week teaching students the importance of music in their lives. Due to the global pandemic, my students will not be coming to my music room for class, but rather I will be teaching from a cart in everyone's classroom. During our time together, we learn music theory, dancing, instrument families, and song games.
My Project
Our elementary students will be starting school in person this fall. Typically, they come to the music room for our music time together. This year, with social distancing protocols in place, I will be traveling to each classroom to teach music instead.
I would like to provide each student in our school (approximately 500 students) with their own pocket folder to keep their music class materials in order.
This folder will remain in their classroom and will not travel home unless our school changes to a virtual setting. The folder will provide students a place to display all of their hard work and protect papers from getting lost in the shuffle.
