My Students

Each day, I have the opportunity to work with an outstanding group of fourth-grade students. Their energy, zest, and eagerness to learn something new never ceases to amaze me! Their already vast knowledge of technology needs to be further developed as we prepare for careers in the 21st century.

My fourth graders come to me with a wide array of background knowledge, experiences, and diverse cultures that make each and every student unique.

A large portion of my class qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch. I also have students who are gifted, receive special education services, and are English Language Learners. I love finding ways to teach all of them new and exciting information.

My Project

I am asking for an electronic storage station for our classroom tablets and headphones. With a better system to store our electronics, charging will be more consistent and cords won't get tangled when students return their iPods and iPads after use. This station also has room for headphones, which are often tangled and get broken due to carelessness. We use electronics in the classroom frequently throughout the day for math and spelling practice. Students love being able to play on the tablets during math for computation practice, listen to texts during reading, and use the QR code reader to check answers. We also use the iPods to look up definitions and use apps such as Prodigy and Sumdog almost daily.

Students who are actively engaged in instruction are proven to succeed.

Having this station in my classroom will help students actively participate in solving math problems, handwriting, and spelling practice.

This project will benefit my students so greatly. Please consider donating to our classroom and our success!
