Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

How exciting is it to be able to read your favorite book online? The students in my classroom love to do this and I often bring in my iPad to let them use as well. However, one iPad is not enough. I would love to have a Kindle Fire in addition to what we have. It is a great motivator as well!

The students in my classroom are very eager to learn.

They will be so excited when they see the Kindle in the classroom. Due to the socioeconomic status of some, the only time they are able to use technology is at school. The school my students attend is a Title One school.

My Project

The Kindle Fire that I am requesting will help my students become more exposed to using new technologies in the classroom. For my students that are reluctant to read, they are more motivated to read if they can use some sort of technology instead of just using a book. There will be a variety of educational apps that can be used to help the students in my classroom.

This project will make a difference in my classroom by increasing the amount of technology in the classroom and providing the students with motivation because they will want to use the Kindle.
