I am a proud teacher in a school district with the majority of the children coming from low-income families. With all the many challenges they face daily, I would like to ensure the ones they come across each day at school are positive.
My students are inspirations and the reason that I love my Job.
I want to give them a great start on a path of academic excellence for a successful life. Many of our students are raised by a grandparent or family member and all of our students receive a free breakfast and lunch each day. Even though they may have these challenges I want to be an inspiration to them show them that life is full of possibilities.
My Project
The items that are being requested are two electric pianos. I am requesting these items for my students to give them the understanding of reading and playing written music.
By donating to this project you will ensure that the students improve their knowledge of reading written music and playing written music while building musicians.
With this addition to the classroom students will be able to make the coalition between knowing the note for Middle C, the sound for Middle C, and the position on the keyboard for Middle C. By implementing the pianos, my students will begin to see themselves as true composers and musicians, built on musicianship. We will use the pianos to aid us in the process of becoming life-long musicians.
