I am a Science Cluster Teacher in an elementary school in the South Bronx, NY.
Our school is a Title I school, due to poverty, which affects the community. This public school has a large population of special needs, and English Language Learners, in which visuals are greatly needed to support the children in their learning.
The children are beautiful, elementary-aged children, who are eager to learn! Please help me obtain these supplies, to enable me to provide these children with the warm welcome back to school they deserve!!!
My Project
Today, while teaching a lesson on electrical energy, I had the students create electrical closed circuits with various materials. I only had 3 Snap Circuit kits for one whole class, of about 27 students to share.
Due to safety protocols, sharing materials has become very restrictive, and in many cases, completely put on hold!
A light bulb went on in my head, (no pun intended), to ask the generous donors out there to, please help my students obtain more Snap Circuit Kits to learn & work with! 'Help light up their education', literally!
